Old School Moderne

Jon McAuliffe

Original energetic Americana - classic stylings with a modern slant.

Jon McAuliffe is a music biz veteran who's paid his dues. No wussy, sweetie pie stuff here. He's worked with artists as diverse as west coast blues singer Doug MacLeod, Boston rocker Andy Pratt and The Cars, and country superstar Emmylou Harris. McAuliffe's music is tough, tried, true and sincere. Old School Moderne is an eclectic mix of Americana ("Here, Rattler, Here"), R&B-laced; rock & roll ("Go 'Head On" "Storm of The Century" "Right Now!"), a bit of blues ("Didn't Have A Prayer" "Geez, Louise"), folk ("Some You Win ..."), a touch of pop ("If You Change Your Mind" "At The End of The Day"), gospel ("Cross The River"), and some sideways humor ("You Are The Wolfman" "Geez, Louise"). McAuliffe's influences include John Fogerty, John Hiatt and Stephen Stills, but his music is wholly original, natural and expressive. The album features high end musicianship and expert production.
